Tim Lybarger, Co-founder and Executive Director of Encore NEO

In 2014, Tim chaired a steering committee that formed Encore NEO, an Ohio non-profit dedicated to helping inspired men and women, age 50 and older, craft meaningful careers for the second halves of their lives.  That organization is now a thriving 501c3 working to expand its reach throughout Northeast Ohio.

Tim began his career with 18 years in the entrepreneurial world of small business. After pursuing his education in business management and organizational development, he spent four years as an organizational development and change management consultant with a large electric utility. This was followed by ten years of rapidly expanding responsibilities at the corporate university of a global consumer products company, where he eventually served as the company’s director of professional and general business development.

Following an early retirement at age 55 Tim started a private practice in community and organization development. Through that practice he provides facilitated planning and customized professional development services throughout the northeastern United States.  Over the past 11 years, Tim has worked with public, private, and municipal organizations of all sizes, including a Fortune 100 aerospace systems company, a $2 billion/year consumer goods manufacturer, and several major healthcare systems.

Tim holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Management from Hiram College in Hiram, Ohio, and a Master of Science degree in Organizational Development from the Weatherhead School of Business at Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland, Ohio.

In addition, he holds certificates in leadership development, time and project management, execution of strategic priorities, effective interpersonal communication, principled negotiation skills, management and supervisory skills, team effectiveness, personal style preferences, and 360-degree feedback instruments.
